The 36th annual Atlantic Antic
The 36th annual Atlantic Antic, to be held September 26, 2010, is an event not to be missed! On this beautiful fall Brooklyn day, the Atlantic Antic draws up to 1 million attendees onto Atlantic Avenue to celebrate the Antic's longstanding tradition of eclectic food, festivities, and fun! From start to finish, Atlantic Avenue is a sea of people exploring a variety of 600 vendors while grooving to music from nine live performance stages.
The Atlantic Antic is Brooklyn's largest street festival! The 36th annual Atlantic Antic features ten live entertainment stages, over 600 vendors, pony rides, and inflatable rides.
Spanning 10 blocks of Atlantic Avenue, from 4th Avenue in Boerum Hill all the way to Hicks Street in Brooklyn Heights, the 2010 Atlantic Antic is fun for everyone looking for food, festivities, and finds.
Offering something for everyone, the ten live musical stages showcase free performances all day, featuring blues, rock, country, R&B, jazz, music for kids, drum circles, and belly-dancing. Kids and families enjoy plenty of pony rides, face painting, balloon sculptures, live storytelling, and more!
Local and national craftspeople, food vendors, and nonprofits intertwine with Atlantic Avenue's trendy restaurants and boutiques. Best known for its eclectic delicacies, the Antic features an exciting array of foods from around the world, from baklava and funnel cake, to grilled sardines and pulled pork sandwiches. And who can forget street fair favorites like smoked sausage sandwiches, mozzarepas, and roasted corn.
